Stripe

Stripe is a perfect photograph to me. One of those orange street construction barrels turned into perfect Rothko stripes. The reflective tape going completely white under the flash.
I love the color scheme and the painterly black especially. That top white stripe almost being an omission of photo data. It’s just great!
I find that I am still taking almost no photos with the new iPhone. Maybe it is my previous bad experience that is causing me to be cautious. I must push past the prejudice.
The other night I tried using it to replicate a previously taken photo of lights through sweat on my bathroom window. I achieved as good a result with this phone as the Canon Powershot.
I am determined to use the new iPhone for the series of watercolors. But then I think that everyone is too overdressed for portraits and I should wait until spring. More excuses to not do the work I should be doing.
I will have to work out the process this weekend. I have my first portrait photos lined up for this Friday or Saturday. I will probably shoot on both to see what is going to work.
