Flag isn’t at all. It is just a display of fabric in my neighborhood. You can clearly see the embroidered Indian textile on the top right of the picture.

I love the flash reflection and the organic spots it creates. It’s a no no in photography, making me love it even more. Once again I could have chosen a better angle.

But the flash was necessary to cause the satin stripe to glow. It wasn’t backlit or lit at all so all the light comes from that badly reflected flash.

The satin fabric apparently is what is causing the illumination. Blue and orange. An old complementary color scheme I have been drawn to my entire life. Even though the blue is a bit purple here.

The flash splits that fold like the rising sun and adds interest to a pretty basic shot. It is a great example of letting the flaw shine. What you can hide you hide. What you can’t, you expose.

This was a lesson I learned in art college. Honestly it has helped not only with art but with how I present myself as a person to the world. My best flaws exposed for everyone to see.
