Aww, yeah! Back on track with the fifth in the MPRSS_HRNT series. This is a delight even to me!
Carpet ads mingle with Cesar dog food hairnets. The perkiness of the dog shining through paper vivisection. The IZOD ad allows for me to get my OZ reference in the piece and simultaneously gives a NOD. Too bad the wink is only implied. Finally, nothing finishes an outfit like Cartier, Cartier, Cartier.
This image has all the whimsy that I need in each piece. The dog peaking in and out. The banality of carpet patterns. It all works to my advantage.
This is also when I really start to distort the hairnet severely. No more safe distortions of tesselations. Isis’ veil distorted irreparably. It doesn’t even bother me that at some points it doesn’t line up in all the right places. Flaws are my friend and I tread them better than water.
On each of these I cut them in a few days. But the preparation would take many days. Sourcing the jewelry. Preparing the bottom of layer of hair, eyes and mouth. Replacing the new flesh and backgrounds happened quickly.
I just collated out the pages and matched according to color scheme. I would even layout the hairnet. But then I would have to build the jewelry and hairnet. They took around a week each.
