Number five continues the same trend of number four in the MPRSS_HRNT series. Lots of components I like but no alchemy. I think this might have been Scarlett Johansson, but who knows at this point.
Who wouldn’t want a Georgia O’Keeffe face and Van Dyke goatee made of diamonds? And the video screen background is perfect although a little light on the upper left corner.
This is another example of a piece that ultimately fails for me. I dislike the disconnected net. It implies that maybe Scarlett is showing signs of female pattern baldness. This is compounded by the O’Keeffe bisecting the entire image.
Once again the hairnet itself is too thick. I rectify this in later pieces. Which hopefully shows that I can adjust my eye in real-time.
Looking at this right now while writing this, I can see it all corrected and long for a redo. That is the reason I post all these pieces and write about them. This entire process has been enlightening and lets me gain some illusion of objectivity about the pieces. I hope it is adjusting my critical eye so that future sets have a greater chance of success.
