Here I am at lucky number seven in the series of MPRSS_HRNT and it’s not so lucky. I pull back and try to get a more distant shot. It works on some levels and others not so much.

First up, I think this is Angie Harmon hawking Pantene Pro-V. Which I can only hear in an Australian accent. Australian accents are the current intonations of sales for America. Australians hawking non-stick pans. I can hear the sound of butter and fats in an Aussie accent. Gravel will never scratch my pans again my Aussie friends.

So back to the piece, I don’t mind it. The columns in her face, the solar symbol alluding once again to Isis. It all works. I love that I don’t try to cover the Pantene advertisement. Acceptance is the key. The perfect symmetry of the hairnet imagery. It all works. But it doesn’t wow me.

In esoteric mythology Isis is the mother who unveiled, reveals the secrets of the universe. I see some of that here. The great Isis still covered a bit. Smirking like the Mona Lisa.

But in the end I don’t like the distance from the face or the lack of dynamic in the composition. It should have more oomph and intrigue.
