Digital Art
Wendy Missing Face is an ancient digital image I did for a slide show in college. Each image had three variations, beginning with more pixelated and coming into focus.
The entire slideshow was set to the song How Soon Is Now? by The Smiths. It was a gorgeous little thing I have thought about reconstructing for this site. It wouldn’t be that hard to do.
I have dabbled in video in the past. Mostly working with droplets in Photoshop and then reassembling the separated files back into moving videos.
I have also done a bit of datamoshing in this same process. Maybe once the DVD archiving is done some of these will come to the site.
When I originally created those videos I posted them to YouTube with songs by other artists. Then the copyright algorithm came crashing down. Bye fun videos.
This made me close my YouTube account. I just can’t participate in ridiculous censorship. It is against everything I am.
So maybe it will become a silent movie show. Longer cuts with the original audio in tact. Who knows?
What I do know is that I have dabbled enough to create videos for our own music. I wonder if I will break my code and put them on YouTube.
