Selfie Before Selfies

Selfie Before Selfies is just that. More of me setting the tone for the present all the way in the past. No fronting, just dropping history on your ass.
Seriously though, I have been fortunate to have met people who introduced me to great ideas. When paired with a voracious mind, the limits are boundless.
Mix that together with experiences like pre-computer prepress and the African antique shop and digital photography before it existed and the meandering of life becomes very beautiful.
Looking back it seems to be a parallel map to the one I am trying to forge for future work. A series of markers that at first seem random, but in hindsight are anything but random. It has been a lifetime of synchronicity.
Speaking of synchronicity, yesterday right after I woke Ernie starts yelling about something he read on the Internet.
Screams of horror about a woman in Australia who mistook her Superglue for eye drops. Fast forward to the end of the same night after a long night at work.
We settle in to watch the new German horror film Goodnight Mommy. Read no further because there are spoilers coming.
So there is this scene where the protagonists glue a persons mouth shut with Superglue. I scream sync. Something we do constantly.
Ernie calls bullshit because it is a mouth not an eye. I suck it down knowing he is right but splitting hairs.
Then the end of the movie comes and there it is. He had glued her eye shut. I win universe. Sync.
