Noose

Noose sees similar symmetry as Twin Symbols. Without really being a noose, it still conjures the feeling. It feels like construction site danger and or imminent workplace punishment or threat.

I found this outside the Chase Bank in Midtown on my walk from the subway home. I am sure it was one of those hopeless post work walks that would cause me to think like this. Need I say that hopeless and Chase go hand in hand.

The scaffolding had another structure above for walking. Normal faire but the difference was that the above structure was completely enclosed. It added mystery to the already Whitney like installation.

Then the paraedolia sets in and I see the lights as eyes and the noose as one of those monkey noses. You know the ones. Anthropomorphizing even an intensely abstract construction site.

It’s just staring at me, asking me when. Honestly the answer is never. My family seems to pair bad habits with bad genes, so I kind of already know how this is going to go down.

Thanks Chase for reminding me that suicide is an option, just not one I am up for. Neither am I interested in moving my checking account so stop sending me all that spam.
