Collage
Twenty-third in the MAZE Series is all darkness, jewel tones and bokeh. Aww bokeh, DKNY has used you to death. Somehow you still work this MAZE to perfection.
Twenty-three in and I still am creating pieces that wow me. That was the goal for continuing. Would I make things that were as good as those first ten? Would I learn and progress? Would the MAZE Series fail due to the imperfections?
I can’t express how much I worried while doing these pieces. I honestly never thought I would finish. I have said it before and will say it again because it’s the absolute truth.
How would you have known? Unless you paid attention and remembered that I said forty pieces at the very beginning. Maybe if I had stopped at ten in more people would have responded to the pieces. In true internet fashion, everyone would have asked where the other thirty are.
Having finished the series, I am now taking a moment to breathe. Time to build these posts and gather older work for more new posts. I will need at least two or three months worth of posts to allow for the next series’ creation.
Because it’s spring already, I am about to lose the use of the radiators. Looks like 2013 is going to be the year of collage.
