Lit Bridge is the unveiling of the Wooden Bridge seen in an earlier post. This is the art installation that happened after the repair. If there ever was any repair.

Unfortunately it is not as good as Wooden Bridge. It lacks the rawness and beauty. It is less monumental.

Don’t get me wrong. This is a lovely piece and quite a find considering the location. But it overdone and too whimsical.

The location was a huge issue also. Right under this huge and expensive piece is a homeless shelter. Some part of me wants no art and instead let them solve the homeless issue.

This is becoming more of a problem everyday in New York. The sudden boom in homelessness is unbelievably sad. Maybe less million dollar art and more help for the poor would work.
