Kristen is another strange experiment. Working with dying magic markers. A truly playful experiment. One of those rare moments when I just think of something and start doing rather than overthinking.

I did this again just a couple of nights ago. Rolling a pineapple along the flatbed scanner. I was obsessed with how the rind segments looked like owls or pentagrams. Owls and pentagrams is a great title.

I will try to work this into a post. I am apprehensive only because I am not sure if I want to use the scans in another piece. I will have to wait and see.

I definitely need to do more of these things. More pure experimentation. Less overthinking.

It’s easy to say that I can accomplish this. The overthinking is a recurring behavior that I have yet to overcome. I am not even sure it is possible for me.

Kirsten is quite an achievement because I thought it and did it within minutes of thinking it. Just got out the markers and began to draw. More of this now.
