Julia Postcard 2 is another one of those Governor’s School mail art projects I made. This one being a favorite due to the brushwork. I like the pose too.
A little hidden and shy. It also helps that the weird breasts are gone. What was I thinking when I thought to do a woman’s body?
I haven’t ever had sex with a woman. Not that I am one of those horrible gays that is grossed out by it. But I just had no point of reference.
It wasn’t completely an opportunity to closet myself. The title comes from the 1984 track Julia by The Eurythmics. A gorgeously sad song that I still love today.
That’s very rare for a song to stay with you that long. I mean I have more than my fair share but many don’t. Maybe I am wrong.
How much of the music you listened to as a kid is still in your heart today? Is it nostalgia or something else? What kind of music was tough enough to stay with you a long time?
