I Miss You is one of those crazy pieces from the past. A piece with a drawing I did and then I added text from MS Word. Then photocopied it.

Can you believe I just wrote that? If you can’t get ready. The story gets better.

So this whole piece is about a breakup with some boyfriend whose name is in the text. Hidden with some jokey stupidity I must have felt at the time.

So I make this piece and this show is coming up  in downtown Raleigh. So I think, maybe I can photocopy a bunch and serialize the look.

At the time I was living with a woman whose husband had just left her to be gay. He didn’t once think about this while making the six boys she was left with. I must say she should have known. I did instantly.

I see why a lot of closet cases have beef with me. No closet here. Sorry you can’t be strong like me bitch. Not sorry.

So one of her boys suggests I get his class to color them like a coloring book. Boom, project complete. I did. Hung them in the group show and ran for the beach.
