FFXIV Nico 02 features me in rust red maurauder gear. For those of you not in the know, maurauders are a tank class. One of the holy trinity of MMORPGs. Tank, healer and DPS.

I show this image because it shows off my killer chest and fabulous skin  color. In the beginning everyone would comment that I was so dark. Hints of weird racism veiled behind their comments. I say weird racism because I am a cat boy in this picture, so it seems very odd that dark color would bother anyone. Especially those of you playing Lalafells.

But this is what I chose from the very beginning in beta. The only difference is that I had pale blue hair. When the game officially launched I had corrected this by changing my hair to white and settled on the very African braid hairstyle.

For the longest time the comments persisted until I saw my first copy cat. It wasn’t until an acquaintance, who had every color imaginable, reappeared in black and white did I realize I had started a trend.

At first it pissed me off. But now I see at least a couple of people who have copied my style every single day. Don’t get it wrong kids. I am the original.
