Wordplay seems to be a hump I can’t get over. It also underscores the story behind these pieces.

Far too many years I worked Fashion Week. A job that came from a photo editing gig at a paparazzi agency. I know. Shameless of me. But that’s a story for another post.

Clawing my way to the tents wasn’t easy. Neither was the job itself. Eighteen hour days. Too much coffee. Not wanting to eat because you could fit a cinderblock between those model’s legs.

After nine or ten days of this well paying insanity, there was just one more hurdle. I was responsible for printing and finalizing the client look books.

Imagine it. Ten days. Four or five hours of sleep a night. You can almost see the end of it. The end is only a thousand printed pages a away.

Then this happens. In total exhaustion I check the pages only to realize that the printer has screwed me out of that near ending.

Even in that moment I realize the beauty. I pull the mistakes and put them aside knowing their importance. Seeing them in the context of the larger aesthetic I am pursuing.
