Docs is another bit from The Catch Trap. The copy was missing a bit from the bottom of the sole so I just made it of of black drafting tape. Easy fix.

This was a shared memento. Thomas Malic wore them so I begged a pair of the oiled leather    style from my parents. I got them for Christmas.

Oddly now, thirty years later they are all the rage in New York City. All the young kids walking around with Grey hair and Doc Martens. Something I did in the same style three decades prior.

It’s unnerving when they are entitled to everything. They want to cannibalize my style and they want the whole sidewalk too. It enrages me.

It also shows me that nothing is new. Everything old will return. The great wheel of life.

It helps give me perspective when old fogies say that music used to be so much better. That is a huge lie. They just aren’t realizing that they didn’t even look for great music back in their own day. So why would they be looking now.
