Disco Display is more from that over the top Christmas display. This time a wall of warpy deconstructed disco ball mirror grids.

Hey I found sheets of disco ball mirrors. Let’s make a display with it. Oh the failure of display design.

As someone who has worked in that industry I can attest to the uselessness of the craft. Decorating a faux room to make it look better than reality is a mental trap. One that frequently lends itself to not looking as good as reality.

When I worked in that industry there was a special time of year in January when we had to set up Christmas displays to sell products for eleven months in the future. Right after the already depressing reality of a failed and real Christmas.

So there I was assembling vicious Christmas trees in January. Listening to piped in holiday Muzak. It was a Morrissey song away from a wrist slashing end.

So what did I learn there. Absolutely nothing that works in he real world. If I ever need to install a toilet I am fucked. I will just put a toilet in the corner unconnected from the water pipes.

But I will pick appropriate towels and bathmat. Careful to decorate the back with tasteful and elegant props. It will be so pretty until the shit and piss overflows.
