Comic Shop News is a newspaper found at comic book stores. When I was buying comics I got one every week.

Not that I really ever read them. I would always pick one up to use as a folder to hold my purchases. A protector to prevent my sweaty palm from ruining my precious comic books.

Over the past five years or so I have stopped and started purchasing comics. Stopped and started in the same way I have tried to quit smoking. I wish I was as addicted to comics as I was to killing myself.

So back to the piece. This is a simple idea. Scan a ton of CSN covers. Remove all the white opacity and layer. So much Kirby. So much Kirby wannabe, wow.

There were two others in this set, but I think this is the only one that deserves viewing at this time. I can’t believe a decade has passed since this piece. It seems the older I get the faster time flies.

I think I post pieces like these that were just tiny experiments to remind me of ideas that might need revisiting. Just a bookmark of a shred that may help produce something much better in the future.
