Bubbles

Bubbles makes detergent look like plastic. The mustardy background makes me wonder what is going on with the piece. I have no memory of shooting this.
It looks like I was shooting the bubbles inside our detergent bottle. A repurposed gin bottle removed of advertising. Topped with a liquor pour topper. A tip we saw on some home improvement show.
I love how square everything gets. The bubbles become hypercubes. The scratchy nature of the glass translates as scratchy plastic. All of this conjures this many ideas even when it is just detergent for washing dishes in a glass bottle.
Simple ideas multiplying themselves in my mind. Overthinking everything. Now that I am looking maybe these memories are false.
That sticker could be from a plastic bottle. Is this picture old enough for the kitchen walls to be yellow? Isn’t this camera post yellow kitchen?
Memory is so convoluted. So treacherous. Lying and rewriting itself to fit whatever current fantasy I have woven in my mind. I don’t even know what is the truth anymore.
