The 2012 edition of Street Paint sees more permutations of the idea. Starting off with a normal piece of graffiti that transcends with color, style and off kilter composition. It revitalizes my faith in traditional graffiti.
I also give three shots of Steve Jobs done as a nice visual trick along wrought iron. Old Steve versus young Steve depending on which way you walk. Or if you look back.
I found it shortly after his death so its context is forever changed. I miss Steve Jobs. Maybe not as much as Elisabeth Sladen. Nor did I feel it in the same way.
Once again the Bowery Graffiti Wall pops up. This time in red, white and blue. I love this piece. It’s dripping deliciousness. The photograph includes people which is a great document of the time.
And finally a window covered in tags. It includes me as a shadow in the reflection. A two in one, self-portrait and Street Paint all in the same shot.
I would probably put up more self-portraits if it didn’t make look so self absorbed. Which I am. Like all good New Yorkers.
Seeing as this is the 2012 edition. It will be the last Street Paint for a bit. It might take some time to edit all the 2013 images which I can’t do till the end of the year.
Goodness knows even when this post will be published. I can’t wait to see how these go up and how non-linear the information is. Bear with it. It will reward those of you who are regular readers.
For the casual reader I beg you to dig a little deeper. I need more feedback. More comments. It would be better than the billion spam comments I receive everyday.
