The collection once again treads beauty and horror. Once again, literally.
The most prominent image is of Audrina Patridge’s mother on a TMZ rant. Face melting wishfully. Beauty from horror.
Never say never. I am certain that my past self would have vowed never to write the name Audrina Patridge on my own website. But I just did it twice.
More importantly, it is one of the best pictures in the series. Who knew the stage mother of sleepy eyed mediocrity would rise to the occasion?
This set also contains a bit of Home Shopping Network and Chiller. I can’t say it enough. Beauty and horror.
Notice in the HSN shot that the one compact is almost untouched. The product must sell. Everything else is a gorgeously garbled mess.
It is also the first set to feature the moiré pattern that I have been obsessed with since my days doing paste up for a daily newspaper. In publishing they are considered verboten. Verboten being another word for count me in.
The third and seventh images, both featuring warm color palettes, offer extreme glitch beauty. The third image being Paris Hilton or a wannabe with a glitched makeover that finally works. Fuck The Ring, this girl should come right out of the television and reset the standard of beauty.
How about pixelated hair dye and makeup that comes with block stencils? Datamosh makeup kits. You heard it here first.
The seventh image is unreadable except as a floral painting with great geometry. It could be someone’s head or a vase of flowers. Who knows? What I do know is that it is wonderfully right now and totally beautiful.
