New piece in the middle of a disaster. Our main computer has had a month of repairs. The end is nigh and I feel it in my back teeth.
The self flagellation is high because I could have set up Time Machine. I should have. Now it’s all done but the crying.
This series was an attempt to push through a couple of months of horror. A pair of months that are historically difficult. Pairs are the theme I suppose.
So they instantly became a test. This whole existence is, apparently. As the computer started to fail, rather than despair I challenged myself to see what I could make with my hands.
This one is interesting. Strange imagery with a touch of red and Marion Cotillard. Also some fluorescent spray paint you might remember from the Jerome Isaac pieces. Another ode to pairs
It’s less dense than that series and the imagery is less cruel. But the layering and color schemes are similar. A little more yellow in this one.
As I write this, I still have one of the six to complete. Another testament to doing things by hand without overthinking every bit. Some come across as too abstract while others read a little crafty.
Neither criticism gets to me. Either are compliments. I hope I can get the final piece done shortly so I can see whether it is one or the other.
