Second image of Linda Evangelista in the series. This time wearing Valentino. I can’t believe a few weeks ago I actually got to oggle the living legend himself. Too bad I can’t say the same for the lovely Linda Evangelista.

So here is Linda in front of a piece of Batman Digital Justice. A graphic novel that was completely computer generated by Pepe Moreno. The page tears I cut from were given to me by Don Lashley, a comic book shop proprietor from my youth who still to this day gives me wonderful bits.

All this is topped off with a citrus fruit cut from its rind and the classic watch halo and the requisite hole punch dots. Three words. Hole Punch Dots. These were leftovers from a tinier series I had done prior to this series where I over utilized, yeah you guessed it, a hole punch.

When I rescanned these images, I also scanned those proto works. Maybe they will reach this blog eventually. During some downtime, just for a giggle.

Once again the layering of magazine plays with the destruction nicely. The hole punch dots showing through the tops of her shoulders. The hidden layers unveiled is a common subconscious theme in almost all of my work.

The color combination pairs nicely with the classic Linda pose. Forehead back, chin forward. It’s a strong image but not one of my absolute favorites. Solid, but not a star.
