Watercolor Selfie is gorgeous ridiculousness. Ernie and I enter a shop, find the same sweater that we both like, then we try it on at the same time and take a selfie. Aren’t my titles so elusive and mysterious?
The final piece is watercolor on watercolor paper. It was a gray scale image that I did in variations of six tones of gray. Then finished off with the black. The black is also watercolor, not ink which I also bought in the same Blick Art run. I bring this up because black may later be India ink in future pieces.
The whole point of this wasn’t to make this particular piece. This is actually a demo for a series entitled Super Glue. I bet you will never guess what that series is about.
There have already been hints at these pieces here in another post. Only regular readers are rewarded with these tidbits. Please start checking regularly, I feel like I am going to burst with working ideas.
Overall I feel the piece is quite successful. It took about four days of work. Not nearly as tedious as the Icons pieces. It was fun and fast and organic and I love the finished piece.
