Rubber Hose is another one that has probably been on this site before. I have said already  that I don’t care. The greatness of the images deserve a repeat.

You just can’t imagine how much of it there was. Piles bigger than elephants. Literally tons of rubber hose. Pure beauty.

To change gears as usual Ernie and I are sitting in an Ethiopian restaurant discussing this. The Siouxsie and Nina photos were enough to draw us in. The article is lacking sorely though.

So the reason nobody does DIY anymore is because you can buy anything? Then why all the buyer’s remorse? Why is everything really so homogeneous? Where did the spirit go?

I think it is probably more complex than all of this. As usual I also think it is more sinister. It’s not that people can buy anything because they can’t. It is because people are buying the mainstream.

Why stand out or explore when you can listen to Britney? Easy downloads of easy listening. It makes me question my own normalization. Maybe I need a new look.
