Tenth in the RHS Series, hence RHS10, is easily one of the best. Scarlett Johansson from a Louis Vuitton advertisement merged with a Dolce & Gabbana fragrance advertisement.
The face screams Vargas and the color palette reeks of mustard and whiskey. It seems to work better with the absence of the eyes. Eyes keep the celebrity intact.
I think of the last post in this series and how I am currently struggling with creating new pieces and suddenly I had a flash of an idea. I just need to get on with the current ideas.
The gridded sketchbook with pixelated icons. Fix the TRPL_SKN series and then finish that first Karlie Kloss. And then maybe a simple celebrity piece with netting for the face and layers of weirdness. Maybe keeping just the eyes and mouth in rainbow layers full of distortion.
I know for some it would appear that these musings are barely related to the work at hand. But it’s more than that. This website is part of the work.
I have invested a tremendous amount of time here and it should have a payoff. Part of the payoff should be a place where I can freely think aloud.
P.S. The Karlie Kloss demo for the TRPL_SKN series already happened and the the pixelated notebook of high school Icons is already happening. I desperately need to do one this weekend. Lots of stuff coming up so stay tuned.
