Peli is a shot off our high def Samsung. A shot of that ill fated Oren Peli show. The River or something.

Genre television is an easy sell to me. It’s more appealing to a true nerd than say the attempt to sell me the police state we live in. Worse that cop shows are shows that try to sell me the busted justice system that crushes us all.

Lately I am noticing there is just as much mind control in genre television. The first few seasons of The Walking Dead was like going to church. Painful and boring. But mostly setting off alarms that I was being preached to through a poorly written show.

Doctor Who has gone down this route too. A constant attempt to prove his messianic status. He saves people. He saves Earth. He is here to protect us.

It doesn’t go down smoothly. I feel my hands fidget. I get the sweats. I feel the bile crawling up my throat. There can be no good in anything that does this to you.

Oddly I am switching over to streaming services more than ever. Old art movies, anime and streaming only shows. It’s easier than doing network basic cable pulpit.
