Ancient days uncovered. I have mentioned the days of working for a conservative Gannett newspaper in the late 80’s and early 90’s in North Carolina. Old story, new images.

I had access to so many pieces of tech and honestly learned so much. I seem to thrive in extremely hostile environments. At the time the tone and color of hostility manifested in a sea of Jesse Helms supporters. Just google it. He is a fascinating gem of the good ol’ boys of the South.

How did I refocus and reframe. I started to exploit my surroundings. It seemed the most punk thing to do. I made posters for friends and mixtape covers. Anything that would give me an opportunity to create.

This was the era of Letraset. Sheets of transfer paper that contained repeating patterns. Frequently graduated and often used by comic books of that era.

Simple idea here. Take a sheet of Letraset and photocopy it multiple times onto the same sheet of paper while increasing and decreasing the size.

These are two of the only remaining examples of this. I remember using many for wrapping papers. Ancient days uncovered but foolish days revealed.
