Nadja PR-RAW Demo 4 is the best of this set. Just me playing with pastels and the excess cuts. It helps that the final black overlay is missing. It obscures some of the overt silliness of the first three.

It’s big and bold in its choices. Cuts of the same piece butted against one another. No real need for the cut, but it works.

Layers of text. Says Bro being ominous foreshadowing. Finish. Now. All commands. The magic comes through on this one more than any other piece in these Nadja demos.

Plus it lets a lurking Jessica Alba steal the scene. Creeping up behind Nadja fresh from a Feria advertisement. She’s making a meal of it.

I once heard this phrase used by Joss Whedon on the commentary for a Buffy The Vampire Slayer DVD. He was talking about an extra who was overacting in the background.

The extras exaggerated hand gestures and conversation style were hysterical. At once seizing and ruining his star making moment.

Ernie and I still use making a meal of it. Such a good saying. Eat this meal Jessica but never forget it’s the Nadja show.
