Here is the last piece of the MPRSS_HRNT series from 2010 featuring Gisele Bündchen. Back to models, again.
I love many elements in this piece. The hairnet itself is spectacular. The color and movement work nicely with the hard geometric shapes. Like unfolded pyramids covering her hair.
The face replace is Grand Central in New York City. Much like Times Square it carries itself with equal horror and beauty.
Jewelry by Bulgari works nicely at providing a death mask for Gisele. Sure it’s a bit wonky, but there is always an element of goofy in these pieces. Apparently wonky/goofy are essential to the success of anything I do.
The background use of decontextualized text is an easy go to for me. Let the gematria begin.
Tomorrow I will be posting the gallery of this series. Then several days off to plot my next steps. Perhaps posting those music mixes and then a few more days off. During that time I will prepare the next series of posts.
Simultaneously I will begin cutting the new series over the next couple of months. Isometric mazes with no solutions. I have 160 prepared to go. I will probably have to feature them in sets of four in order to lessen the number of posts. So be prepared for something very different from the stuff you have seen already. Geometric modernism are the keywords for the newest series.

30 Aug 2012Brilliant as always! Love the geometric aspect and to hear what is to come this becomes the perfect transitional piece of continuity of the constant flow of amazing art.

31 Aug 2012Thanks to both of you! I hope the next series pops and doesn’t come across as purely academic meandering. I guess we will all see.
