So here is the second one in the MPRSS_HRNT series and already I have nailed the formula. Replace the background in a beauty shot. Check. Replace the skin with more madness. Check. Add a hairnet. Check. And finally a bit of jewelry. Check.
I started this one by replacing the background with text. A classic move on my part. And then the face with an Evian advertisement. By the time I built the net I was obsessed with Voronoi tesselations. Tesselating grids are extremely important to this series.
I love the Prada advertisements interaction with the composition. The black wave. The letters P(i) standing on its own. The pink split by black and then grey. It is so perfect with the Evian ad. A little jewelry by Cartier and you are set to go in the world of posthuman beauty.
These pieces came to me while doing the earlier PR-RAW series. During that time I would do these woven pieces with the remnants from those cuts and then lacquer them with Modge Podge. It was a nervous hands exercise. I have that problem a lot. It helps calm my anxious mind.
That activity and all the Tarot information brought these to my mind in a flash. Like that flash they executed themselves quickly. This being the second in the series, the success I was looking for came in a flash as well.
