Motorcrash is a glorious shot of wreckage. It takes everything in me not to start The Sugarcubes song. Riding on a bicycle…
Oh well, I tried to resist. I found this over on Ninth Avenue. I wasn’t the only person photographing it. Surprise. Even though this is long past the actual accident the horror is still a draw.
I have noticed now that everyone carries these high megapixel cameras around that it is harder to have unique subject matter. Whenever I see someone shoot the exact same thing I just shot I call copycat and then roll my eyes. I do it where they can see me. If they piss me off enough and we are walking in the same direction, the next shot they take I mimic and then look directly at them and glare.
I am trying more and more not to repeat myself. To try newer things visually and to not go back to stale ideas. No more repeats of old sets to continue dead ideas.
Now I am not saying I won’t go back. Graffiti, either paint or paper, is over. It will have to be exceptional to get a pass. But then old bits like the Shredded sets can always come back. Anything that is visually that aggressive is always welcome.
