Thirty-fourth in the MAZE Series comes up with four of a kind. All imagery from a Dolce & Gabbana campaign.

Here is another instance where I feel that if pieces 1 and 3 were diagonal from each other the piece would be better. I think a lot of the confusion came about because I had to cut these pieces differently to stop the plotter from eating them.

Part of the coping mechanism was cutting the pieces two at a time. This prevented the machine from choking. But it did allow for slips in my composition.

I don’t dislike this piece, I just think that single move would make it more balanced. In fact I think 2 and 4 are exquisite. 4 being one of the prettiest color combinations and executions. Like a city skyline at night.

1 and 3 are less successful. I thought the fur exchanging with flesh would result in more fun. It doesn’t.

While writing these posts I am already at work on the next series. Just last night I started the selection of images. I have this notion that ten of the 20 pieces will be collage on paper. The remaining ten on wood panels. I hope the critique and examination of these pieces helps the newer ones.
