Thirty-first in the MAZE Series sees the return of the gem fractured face. And the return of two images I have used before.

MAZE31-1 features the same delightful image of King Latifah from MPRSS_HRNT_16. While MAZE-31-4 is the same image from MPRSS_HRNT_17, that series’ closer.

Of course it’s all intentional. The Helena Christensen and Beyoncé images were created during the first twenty. They were originally paired with another two faces that were cruelly eaten by the plotter/cutter. I saved them and then found these two duplicate throwbacks to a previous series.

As always I love rearranging the human face like this. It’s funny and a little spooky. Two of my favorite notes, and two I can easily sing.

But this piece doesn’t live up to those previous pieces. It’s not awful, but it’s not as good as the MPRSS_HRNT pieces. And the Gisele piece there was a bit lackluster. Which might have tainted this piece.

Actually there is no taint (laugh all you want). This entire series is intrinsically tied to chaos. They are what they are based on how I throw the dice. I can only control so much in something so chaotic.
