Insulation is another shot from Times Square. Times Square being a place of contention lately when a friend commented that perhaps I should not post about a place so uncool. Whatever.

I walk through it every single night. It is close to my home. In some ways it is close to my heart.

When the Madonna origin story comes up, there is that legend about her getting into a cab and asking the cabbie to take her to the heart of it all. He dropped her off in Times Square.

Several years ago she did an event in Times Square. She recounted the story to further perpetuate the myth. Then she proceeded with the event at hand.

I recount all this to validate the idea on even a tiny level. Even now that it is a giant mall I would even go so far as to say it is the heart of America. The awful, pitch black heart covered in neon lights to mask its true nature.
