Hero is another piece of paper art by another artist. A great piece on a perfect background with crystal clear focus. Finally.
Soho is a hotbed of paper pieces. I constantly see new work but only rarely shoot it. It has to be great for me to take the time. It has to be great enough for me to shoot something that so many other people are shooting. This one is great because it is simple.
It reminds me to keep things simple. Simplicity doesn’t hurt impact. In this case it works to serve the piece and placement.
Simplicity in the red, green and blue color scheme. Laid over a sepia toned copy it is so basic. The strength comes from the shapes of color and the interplay with the wall. Bam!
Sometimes these things are so briefly alive. Painted over or stolen or destroyed. Claiming their existence is the point of posting them here.
I still have yet to have an artist of one of these pieces contact me. I don’t know how to get in contact with many of them.
Maybe through a graffiti forum. Or perhaps contact them directly. I will look into it. If I ever get caught up all these posts.
