Digital Print on Transparency
Heaven or NYC is one of those at work doodles. A goofy mess of me just scribbling with a mouse in Photoshop. After doing this for the longest time and putting layer over layer, I quickly printed onto transparency.
You can see the split paper in the center. Those are the papers that let the printer grab hold of the transparency. I have never taken them off.
It helps to qualify the piece as real, whatever that fucking means anymore. Plus it would be unkind to remove its protective paper wings. Like breaking open a toy and actually playing with it.
There is no color alteration here. This is just how it looks and I love that the colors are so vibrant and crazy. It’s like spaghetti that makes its way to the end of 2001.
The name is an obvious reference to the scarring album cover by Cocteau Twins. I just replaced Las Vegas with NYC. Pretty easy and obvious stuff for this site, no?
