Exquisite Corpse 05 shows more tomfoolery. All blockheads and pleated skirts and duck feet. Ridiculousness at its best. Plus that middle finger is still relevant for so many people.
I was recently seeing images inspired by this idea in my mind’s eye. More chimeric than corpse. Two simple images of say a ram and a shrimp. One layered over the top of the other. Then geometrically slashed to reveal parts of each with no overlap.
I am so happy that I write these ideas here. It keeps the site intimate and lets me just flow. I am no longer scared of anyone stealing ideas. They were never mine to begin with.
I do believe that there is an ideascape that everyone draws from. If an idea is given to you from this place and you don’t use it, it will go to someone else.
One time I had this idea to take Family Circus comics and turn them on their head. Making them contemporary and edgy. But I never did it.
Later I was hanging out in an East Village bar called Dicks. Fun times, great jukebox. I was introduced to an artist. He had done the exact same idea I had and we had never even talked about it.
