Empty Retail 12 is the most painterly and reminds me of prints from the eighties. Lots of expressionistic shadows like German films. Maybe it needs some blinds to finish the look but close enough.
The shininess of the floor makes the space look flooded. The reflection in the upper right corner brings the outside in. It also gives a nice spot of blue.
Speaking of blue, it’s back to work today after a Christmas vacation. Blue pretty much sums it up. Blue regret at all the things I should have done.
I did rest and relax in a way that was good for my mind. It didn’t help me want to get out of bed today but it was still good. I thought a good bit about upcoming work.
The Storm piece is bothering me. It isn’t edgy enough to suit my particular style anymore. It needs to be more Sienkewicz and less Vogue.
But then the amount of time and energy yells at me to finish it. Finish anything so that this nagging will stop. Is that really a reason to do anything?
