Display Distortion 1 is the beginning of five pictures in this series. The five pictures in the series documenting the failure of display design. The failure being so bad it’s good resulted in great photos.
Someone took very little time constructing mirrored display boxes for products. Notice there are no products. The shame of failure has caused them to ignore the overwhelming American need to sell and buy.
Pretty strong failure, no? At least they spent a lot of money on materials. Someone got paid in the wake of this mess.
This kind of waste is enormous in New York City. Piles of expensive plexiglass thrown out. Trash piles full of hologram paper. Throw it all away and let the planet figure it out.
In spite of all this I still managed to get great photographs out of this failure. So it actually comes out as a win in my book. It’s an unpublished book I might add.
It’s not like I love display design anyway. See previous posts for more of this sentiment. It’s nice to show that a total failure like this results in a greater success than the best of a base craft.
