Christy PR-RAW Demo 3 is better than the first two. I have increased the light in the piece by removing the under layer. It makes a significant difference.

This is a lesson in less is more. Just gesso, a black layer and markers for color. Simplicity is the key.

Don’t get me wrong. In order for the PR-RAW series to be such a success, they needed the layers. It pushes them over the edge into something really new.

This is a success in relation to what has come before in this set. The reduction of elements is only a good thing in context.

I can easily see returning to something similar in new pieces. Albeit a bit more abstract.

Edgier and more graphic than the Jerome Isaac set. Not that all over pattern that doesn’t let your eye test.

The real task is coming up with the imagery. It has to be smart and not as silly as a these. Or turn the silliness up to ridiculous.

Until it comes to my head I am stuck. Not knowing what form it will take. Not knowing if the ideas will ever come.
