Birdshit Skyscrapers

Birdshit Skyscrapers looks like a mashup of two images. But it’s really just one of those sheets of thick dangerous glass awnings that are so contemporary in contemporary architecture. Too bad they didn’t foresee the terrorism of pigeons.
Those two buildings reaching for each other in hopes of embrace. Their love stained by the filth of birdshit. A metaphor for city living?
So it’s a good shot and one that perfectly captures the now. Newness ruined. Newness unclean. It makes me think a lot.
Mostly about the dirtiness of the city. The longing in me to return to the country. The fact that at heart I am a wild thing from the deep woods.
But then I remember the deep woods filth. The animal shit and stagnant water and mud. Why is that preferable to me over city filth? Is it because I don’t remember it as well?
