After the last run of posts in early May. I decided it was time to start building new posts. Posts from the archives. It will probably take until the middle of June to develop enough posts to cover the spots in between working on the new series.

Speaking of the new series it’s tentatively titled TRPL SKN and it’s a big series. Keep in mind that it could show up before or after this very post. The posting could get very non-linear.

I want to feature digital photography, film photography, Polaroids and older collage and paintings. It’s going to be fun, but it’s also a tremendous amount of work. Bear with me.

The new series is underway. I did my first test cut on May 22, 2013. It ended in disaster. I literally have to go back to the cutting board. The series is currently more like the MPRSS_HRNT.

The twist is that the image is cut from three of the same images. Offset for exaggeration. All pieces will be mounted on maple board. Except for the test cuts which have to be done for each piece. Those will be made with paper.

I haven’t decided yet whether to use color copies or the originals. Because I have a finite number of originals each cut would have to be perfect. Perfection doesn’t seem to work with either me or the plotter cutter. I guess the goal is to get the idea done. Not create perfection.
