Part 2 of the CCD Failure Series sees more stalactite and stalagmite goodness in hot purple and pink. Smears that should have become a Photoshop filter by now. Maybe they have but I haven’t seen it.
I have seen a few people post pictures similar to these. One on Facebook. Others around the net. Not a tremendous amount. Perhaps I should research this a bit and see what I can conjure up.
Time to admit that I haven’t been writing a lot of posts lately. Mainly just coasting on previously written posts. Trying to get back to work now that it’s early November 2013 and the heat is on. Time to paint and create.
This fall has been unbelievably depressing. My job feels stagnant and any energy I can muster is drained from me. I always bounce back but the older I get the harder the toll of bouncing.
So what do I have slated for this winter? I will begin work on two or three simultaneous series. The TRPL-SKN series previously mentioned that has taken a lot longer than anticipated. Then a NO Series, NO standing for non-objective, which will be pieces that let my mind relax and not over think them. And then maybe a series of Japanese paper cuts that I have dreamed about for a decade.
Now I just need to summon that magical energy.
