Mmm, candy corn and Kristen McMenamy are up at number six. I remember fondly adoring eyebrowless Kristen so much I took a razor to my own brows. This immediately put her into the same group as Ziggy Stardust era Bowie and Bob Geldof in The Wall as far as style influences for me.

It’s one of my favorite pieces in the series. Kristen wearing Dolce & Gabbana long before Madonna used a similar look for her Erotica video. Ah, the good old days.

The candy corn was placed to cover the missing bit of her arm that was wrapped around something I extracted from the final image. Another example of making do as best I could.

Overall the image pops nicely due to the teal and orange combination. Nice dramatic composition and equally intense destruction. The wooden ring segment halo with the actual bird feather wings are nice elements against Kristen’s black and white image.

I should bring up a question here by a co-worker Hector. He asked if these were altered or touched recently or if they were physical objects. Once again, these are real world objects cut back in 1992.

I just recently scanned them again so that the clarity of the image would be up to snuff. A little bit of level adjustment to increase the brightness of modern monitors. Cropped and resized and that’s it.

Several of you out there have seen the originals, so help me out and testify.
